Agile Electrification is a new initiative to power the solar-led electrification movement
California homes are faced with the highest energy costs in the continental United States. Rooftop solar and home electrification can reduce homeowner costs, increase reliability, and provide powerful support to the grid as it decentralizes. We’re building the structure required to bridge concepts, unite stakeholders, and synchronize timeframes to support this transition.
The Agile Electrification project is facilitated by the Design Lab at UC San Diego, which applies humanity-centered design to address the most pressing societal challenges.
The Designer-in-Residence program promotes collaboration with leading industry practitioners on a topic of mutual interest. These topics are explored through agile sprints, which coordinate the exchange of knowledge, skills, and ideas to further the development of solar-led electrification.
